Lynda DeGrow Kingsley…

Lynda is a McKinney artist who primarily works in watercolors combining rusted hand molded papers to create 3-D works on a 2-D plane. Her primary inspiration and subject matter begins in her own yard full of perennials and greenery. She recently graduated with a BFA in studio art, with an emphasis on watercolors from the University of North Texas. After running a family business in NM for many years and seeing two of her three children graduate from art schools, Lynda decided to go back to school after a move to Texas in 2007 and pursue her love of creating art.

She is the President of The Art Club of McKinney, the oldest art club in the state of TX, and the leader of the Dallas–Fort Worth Spondylitis Support Group. She resides with her husband, Dr. M. Scott Kingsley, program director of the network engineering graduate program at Southern Methodist University, along with their 3 rescued Basset Hounds.
