My art reveals a great deal about my life and passions. An avid hiker, I have spent weeks hiking solo on the Appalachian Trail, immersing myself in nature and finding inspiration for creating my art. Long, rolling country roads disappearing into the distance; lively colorful plants and flowers; quiet pristine woods; or energetic close-ups of the majesty of nature: I want each painting to convey a feeling of joy and whimsy. My art is a representation of the beauty I see in the world around me as I reduce the subject to its most elemental and powerful components, and invite the viewer to step into my world.
