ACRYLIC Painting Cloud Workshop with Maribeth Jagger - SAT Jan 25, 2025 - 10A-4P
Spend a day with your head in the clouds and your feet on the ground!
Join Maribeth for a fun day creating beautiful, whimsical cloud paintings using a very limited color palette. We will start with a quick discussion of supplies, composition and techniques and then quickly move into creating a couple of small, quick paintings before we start a larger, more dramatic cloud painting. This six hour workshop is for anyone who would like to learn techniques and tips for creating beautiful paintings of the sky and clouds using acrylic paint.
Who is this workshop for? Adult artists of any skill level who prefer to work ACRYLIC PAINT!

Times: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Bring a snack or lunch)
Where: The Last Gallery Classroom, 105 W. Louisiana St, McKinney, Texas
Cost: $85
Supplies: Acrylic paints: (Recommended high quality tube paints such as Golden) Cadmium Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium red light or medium, and Titanium White (Optional: Cerulean blue)
Brushes: I like a synthetic long flat brush #4 or #6 with a long handle, so I can stand away from the canvas.). Just bring an assortment if you have them, so you can decide which works best for you. You may also want a small round brush to add highlights.
Palette knife to mix paints
Palette (Can use plates or trays)
Canvas: Two small canvases will be provided for your first two paintings, but you will want to bring one larger canvas for your larger cloud painting. 9 x 12 or whatever fits your easel.
Table easel or portable standing easel if you prefer to stand. I have smaller table easels for you to use if you prefer.
